Maybe tomorrow…

So it’s raining here in Santa Margherita.  And the wind is blowing at about 100 miles an hour.  And there’s thunder and lightning.  It’s still a beautiful little town.  We went in to get some coffee and scope out a place for dinner  tonight (Ristorante il Nostromo – specializes in seafood – mmm seafood).

The hotel (Hotel Fasce) is kind of our perfect place.  Not four star but small (16 rooms), very friendly, quiet, they do laundry, have breakfasts, loan umbrellas, good showers, loan bikes, and have WiFi.  There’s no view but they maintain a beautiful little garden around the hotel.  We’re a 4 minute walk from the waterfront.

DSC00422Here we are on the waterfront after our train trip on our restaurant scoping mission with the Italian Riviera in the background.  My hood is standing up from the wind.

Oh and the title of this post – We were talking with the owner of the hotel (Aristide Fasce).  He kept apologizing profusely about the weather saying he tried talking to God but apparently he wasn’t listening today.  “Maybe tomorrow” he said.
