On the road to Parma

Tomorrow we head for Parma.  Fran didn’t feel well much of the day.  The foods been pretty rich and I think it hit her.  She’s OK but you know how you get a queasy stomach sometimes when you eat rich food…

Bologna was OK but I don’t know if I’d come back -  it’s a big city.  If you’re interested in architecture there’s a lot to see.  The  food is good but the Gourmet’s guide to Italy I bought is really not that great.  His recommendations are OK but we found the best food so far in Orvieto and better here using Ken’s rules.

Don’t know when I’ll get internet next – for sure in Nice but hopefully in Parma and Santa Margherita.  I’ve got to say Alvin (see earlier posts) looked at us like we were nuts when we said we were going to Parma – then again he loved Bologna.  Oh well we’re only there for one day.
