Parco Ducale

This is Fran in front of the Palazzo Ducale in Parma. The palace sits on the ground of a 100 acre park. Originally built in the late 1500s the park was redone by the French in the late 1600s. It's retained it's French style to this day. For fans if more modern history the Nazis burned this palace on September 9 1943. It was restored shortly after the war.

We are touring Parma today. So far we like this city - it's small, friendly, and full of good food. I haven't yet found wifi so I'm posting from the phone. When I find it (probably tomorrow) I'll post more pics. This is a gorgeous city and I've got a lot to say about bikes, old men, and park benches.
