Carolyn decided to call home.
Ivy covered building in Stow on the Wold
The Fox Inn in Broadswell (about a 2 mile walk from Stow)
The Cotswold as seen from our walk from Broadswell back to Stow on the Wold
Today we did a bit more hiking in the morning and then went to Chipping Campden (via car - it's 10 miles from Stow) for the afternoon.
One of the houses along our walk
And more of the Cotswold country side
Obstacles on our path? or is Ken the bull? Toro!
A church in Chipping Campden - because you know - churches are old
The public footpaths the cross England are great. We're learning to spot the markers. The Heart of England Way goes all through England.
And of course driving to Chipping Campden is thirsty business. Had to stop at the Eight Bells for a Hooky Bitter and a cider.
Tonight we're having our last dinner in the Cotswold at the Queens Head here in Stow - pub fare. The food has been good but a bit heavy. Maybe more on English food later (we took a respite from English food last night and went to "Prince of India" - it's a story in itself as neither of us recognized anything on the menu - but as I said perhaps later).
