Stamford

 Just a few pics of our way to and at Stamford.

First our car for the trip. Actually a nice Toyota dispute the hideous color (yes that’s purple). And, as several of you have pointed out the wheel is on the wrong side. As is our custom, Fran started to get into the wrong side of the car. I believe she secretly has a desire to drive here in the UK but won’t admit it.

Despite driving on the wrong side of the road and the wheel we made it easily to The George hotel in Stamford.  No wrong turns, Apple Maps is getting better. Even better the car park was well marked once we made it to the hotel.

Stamford is beautiful. Full of old churches, pubs, windy passage ways and ancient buildings. Probably do more photos from here but below are a few we took on our brief walk through town.

Update (10/8/2023): Overall we were impressed with the people, architecture, and food in Stamford. Would definitely return and certainly worth a couple of nights.
