Tobie Norris in Stamford

Tobie Norris (see previous foodie post) is part of a small chain free house pubs throughout England (seems to be mostly in the central/north east). We ate there last night and the food was as good as most of the fine dining we’ve been having lately - seriously 7, maybe 8 out of 10. Service was rudimentary (like all pubs you order at the bar and they bring it to your table) but food quality, even to some degree presentation, was great. 51 pounds with wine. A picture below of a pizza and a pork belly cassoulet (with beans, tomatoes, onions, and cracklings). Sorry for the quality, we were outside and they had heat lamps that cast an orange glow over everything.

Not fine dining but great tasting and looking food. Probably a lesson there.
