Travis and Kelsey will attest to the fact we have NEVER found our hotel easily on the first day of our trip. We typically walk an extra mile or two looking for our hotels which are described as walking distance from where ever our transportation drops us.
Part of the problem is we get in exhausted wanting nothing more than a shower and a nap and we miss the subtle clues (like street signs and people wearing sandwich boards saying “We’re here”). Today was no exception – we passed the alley our hotel was in twice because when you are tired and looking for via Sersale you don’t notice via Antoni Sersale. This true even when you ask someone and they point you to it.
My Italian was helpful though – I understood what they were telling us I just couldn’t the Antoni thing through my head.
