The walk of shame

 Using GPS has advantages.  We really haven’t gotten lost anywhere.  On our trip to Pavia we learned of its shortcomings.

We exited the train station.  GPS was showing us about a 1/2 mile walk to the hotel - no big deal. We followed the instructions diligently leaving the back of the train station, turning left, going 500 feet, taking a sharp 120 degree left, going 1000 feet, turning another 90 (left) and going about another 1000 feet to our hotel.  Right where GPS told it it would be.  

Those of with a mind for geometry might be scratching your head at this point recognizing we were making a triangle. 

Sure enough, right across the street from our Hotel (Moderno) we saw this:

It’s the front of the train station about 100 feet from our hotel door. So much for being a savvy traveler - if we’d not followed GPS…well you get the picture.
